Residential Permit Parking Around Beckenham Park
Residents near Beckenham Park and in Sunset Place have pushed for permit parking to keep non-resident vehicles — largely overflow from nearby apartments — off their streets. Only some street segments hit the 67% petition threshold, so the commission recommended a partial, connected district and left other struggling streets out, warning of a continued 'displacement' ripple effect.

Acacia Knolls residents lost roughly 40 parking spaces near Beckenham Park when the new permit parking district was created, and are asking the city to open the south side of Beckenham Street to resident permits only. The Commission put the request on hold until November to gather HOA data and fit it into the citywide parking conversation.
